Overview

Equip your Land Rover Defender for off-road recovery while retaining a clean, factory-inspired appearance with this Winch Bracket and Soft-Touch Nudge Bar Kit.

The system combines a heavy-duty steel winch bracket with a moulded ABS nudge bar, providing a practical platform for mounting a compatible electric winch while adding protection and utility to the front of the vehicle.

Unlike purely cosmetic nudge bars, this kit includes the structural steel bracket required to support the nudge bar and winch assembly. The two components are engineered to work together—the nudge bar cannot be installed independently of the supplied winch bracket.

The moulded soft-touch nudge bar follows the Defender’s front-end design and includes dedicated mounting locations for auxiliary spotlights. Integrated parking-sensor openings allow the factory front sensors to be transferred into the new assembly for a cleaner installation.

Designed for Defender 90, 110 and 130 L663 models, the kit provides a discreet alternative to a large traditional bull bar while adding useful winch and lighting capability.

Important Fitment Information

The nudge bar and steel winch bracket are designed as one complete system. The nudge bar cannot be fitted without installing the supplied winch bracket.

Confirm the dimensions, mounting pattern, weight and rated capacity of the intended winch before installation. Do not assume that every winch model or capacity will fit this bracket.

The operation of the parking sensors, cameras, radar and other driver-assistance equipment must be checked after installation. Sensor adjustment or calibration may be required.

This product does not create additional rated recovery points. Winching must only be performed through the correctly installed winch system and in accordance with the winch and vehicle manufacturers’ instructions.

Installation and Maintenance

Professional installation by an experienced 4WD accessory fitter is strongly recommended. Installation requires removal of front bumper components, secure attachment of the steel bracket to the vehicle and correct reassembly of the bumper, nudge bar and parking sensors.

Before final assembly, test-fit the winch and confirm clearance around the bumper, cooling system, wiring, fairlead and surrounding components. All fasteners must be tightened to the specified torque, and electrical wiring must be routed away from heat, sharp edges and moving components.

After installation, test the winch, auxiliary lights and all front parking sensors before driving. Recheck the mounting hardware after the first winch operation and periodically during servicing.

Clean the ABS nudge bar using mild automotive soap and water. Inspect the steel bracket, fasteners and winch mounting points regularly for movement, corrosion or damage, particularly after recovery use or off-road driving.
