Refund policy
WARRANTY COVERAGE
All PEAK 4x4 products are supplied with a standard warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. Unless otherwise stated, the warranty period is 12 months or 50,000 kilometres (whichever occurs first) from the date of retail sale and applies only to the original purchaser. PEAK Shock Absorbers are covered by a 3-year or 60,000 kilometre warranty, whichever occurs first. This warranty is limited strictly to defects that cause the product to perform below its intended specifications under normal use.
PEAK 4x4 will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace any component deemed defective due to material or manufacturing fault. The warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective component only. Labour costs, installation or removal costs, freight, vehicle downtime, alignment, diagnostics and any associated or consequential expenses are expressly excluded and remain the responsibility of the purchaser. All warranty claims are assessed by PEAK 4x4, and the decision to repair or replace rests solely with PEAK 4x4.
INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS & CONDITIONS
All products must be installed by a suitably licensed or certified mechanic with experience in the relevant product category. Improper installation, incorrect fitment, failure to follow installation requirements or use of inappropriate tools will void warranty coverage. Suspension products must undergo a post-installation safety inspection after the first 500 kilometres of use. Wheel alignment following suspension installation is strongly recommended and remains the responsibility and cost of the purchaser. Warranty coverage may be void if products are installed with non-genuine or incompatible components or used outside their intended design parameters.
EXCLUSIONS – WHAT IS NOT COVERED
Warranty coverage does not apply to, and PEAK 4x4 excludes all liability for, damage, failure or wear resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, improper installation, modification, incorrect application, overloading beyond product specifications, racing or competition use, mining, rental or extreme commercial use, accident or collision damage, environmental exposure, or normal wear and tear. Products that are incorrect for the application, incorrectly fitted, partially fitted, not fitted as a complete system where required, or not purchased through an authorised Australian PEAK 4x4 dealer are excluded from warranty. Any item installed prior to inspection or after visible damage has been identified is not eligible for warranty or return.
INSPECTION & DAMAGE NOTIFICATION – MANDATORY REQUIREMENT
All products must be inspected immediately upon delivery and before installation. If an item is defective, damaged, incomplete or incorrect, you must notify PEAK 4x4 immediately and before installation. Any damage or defect identified after installation will be deemed installation-related unless proven otherwise. Failure to inspect and report issues prior to installation may void warranty or refund eligibility. Photographic evidence and retention of all original packaging are mandatory for assessment.
TRANSIT DAMAGE & LOSS – FREIGHT PROTECTION
Peak 4x4 uses reputable carriers with tracking; however, freight damage or loss may occur. Unless otherwise stated, transit damage must be reported within 3 business days of delivery, with coverage strictly expiring at 4:00pm on the third Sydney business day following delivery confirmation by the carrier. Claims lodged outside this timeframe will not be accepted. Damaged items must not be installed, discarded or altered. Photographs of the item and packaging are required, and all packaging must be retained for inspection. Peak 4x4 will determine, at its absolute discretion, whether an item is damaged or lost in transit. An item is not deemed lost if the delivery address provided was incorrect or incomplete, tracking shows the item in transit, or the carrier confirms delivery or authority to leave.
RETURNS & NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
Returns are not accepted for custom-made products, special orders, made-to-order items, hazardous materials, flammable goods, sale items or gift cards. Change-of-mind returns are accepted only where approved in writing by PEAK 4x4, subject to the product being returned unused, unopened, in original packaging and in resalable condition. A 20% restocking fee applies to all approved change-of-mind returns, and return freight is the responsibility of the customer.
REFUNDS
Once a return is assessed and approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method within approximately 10 business days. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution. Refunds will not be issued for items that have been installed, modified, used, damaged after delivery, returned incomplete, or returned without prior approval. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available to you under Australian Consumer Law. Where a remedy is required by law, PEAK 4x4’s liability is limited to the minimum remedy required under applicable legislation.
